csat-2013 paper analysis

Overall paper is little bit tough for new beginner's   Medium for one or two attempt aspirants.

The deepness of questions is not so high but little bit tricky.

Questions from different sections of CSAT Paper-I

                      Subject                                                              Marks

                                                                      2013               2012        2011

History and culture                                       15                    20            13

Economy                                                        18                   12             18

polity                                                              18                    25            17

Geography                                                      14                   11            11

Environment & bio-diversity                22                   23            22

Science & Technology                          13                   09            19

Note:-
In the above analysis there was may be a  small difference between  numbers  polity and Economy  because of there interlinking between those subjects.

In the above table  we see that the UPSC  had  made no big changes in weightage  of Topics

Mainly the upsc had focus on Environment & Biodiversity  23 % of the marks are covered only on these topic since the introduction of CSAT paper  till now.

The nature of the Question of this topic will be medium level of the understanding  capacity of candidate

2.Geography

The trend is changed by upsc from 2011 the nature of the question is little bit high.

3.polity & Economy

According to my opinion polity & Economy was the gateway to enter in civil service mains

Everybody can score in these two subjects when compared to Env & Bio , Sci & tec ,Geography,

The nature of Question is easy for those who study the basic economics and polity

with the basic knowledge the candidate can go for

-Indian yearbook
-Indian Economic survey

4.History & culture

The nature of this topic is to under stand the society and history of India and culture
    mainly on
Modern History:
  Indian freedom struggle

5.Science

The nature of this topic is little high  but  not so hard.Everybody can score on this topic including non-maths students if they have knowledge in basic science with contemporary changes in today's fast growing science.

There is incredible changes in science, technology, medicine, biology etc,... since 20th century

Everyone can update there knowledge in these fields.. ..
